Cetology is the branch of zoology that deals with the study of Marine Mammals that include whales, dolphins, porpoise, etc....🐳🐳🐳

Here are some of the main groups of marine mammals:
 
  • Cetaceans
     This order includes whales, dolphins, porpoises and originated 55.5 million years ago.
  • Pinnipeds
     This order includes seals, sea lion, walruses and originated from terrestrial carnivores.
  • Sirenians
     This order includes manatees and dugongs and originated from common ancestor with terrestrial proboscideans.
