Ribbon seals can dive up to 200 meters (656 feet) in search of food.

Ribbon seals run over ice by alternating their front flippers and swinging their hindquarters back and forth.

Ribbon seals located in the Bering Sea consume Pollock, eelpout, and arctic cod.

Ribbon seals are part of a group of animals known as pinnipeds, which also includes seals, sea lions, and walruses.
